How is Cahoots queering the trades?
Cahoots runs community workshops to empower and upskill queer folks and women who have often been shut out of the trades (and home handyperson skills) through systematic and explicit discrimination. These folks learn new skills and in some cases become further engaged in Cahoots projects to build community assets or even become a tradie.
Cahoots also actively engages existing queer tradies for mutual support, collaboration, and possible expansion of the Cahoots business model to expand fundraising and compound the effects of queer support.
